Grape Vine 3.0 (GRPVINE) 08-93 CD Kapusta, Phillip $0 is similar to Hangman, but instead you must guess at a phrase from the Bible, one word at a time. You get a lot more chances to miss, but your misses are cumulative as you go for each word in the phrase -- an interesting twist. New Testament Quizzler (NT-QUIZ) Truett, Lawrence $0 tests your knowledge of the New Testament, from the book of Matthew to the book of Revelations. For up to four players. Bible IQ Challenge 1.1 [BIBLEIQ] R. K. West Consulting ASP $15 #4792 (11-93 CD) is a game that tests your knowledge of the Old Testament. Questions are based on the King James Version of the Bible. You can compete against yourself or other players. Requires 512K. Bible Jigsaw 1.5 [BIBLJIG] Heinold, Dale $15 #12612 (11-93 CD) is a jigsaw puzzle of pictures from Bible stories. It includes nine pictures and six difficulty settings. Requires 512K RAM and EGA. Bible Mixer 2.1 [BIBLMIX] 09-93 CD Affordable Software $10 #12472 tests your Bible knowledge by challenging you to unscramble mixed-up words from the Bible. Each game consists of 10 scrambled words, and you may play alone or against another player. Also included is Word Mixer which helps increase vocabulary for ages 8 and up. Christian Jokes III 3.0 [CHRSJOKE] Scarborough, Rev. Thomas O. $10 #12609 (11-93 CD) is a collection of 540+ Christian jokes. It includes fast search with topical index to find jokes or anecdotes. Topics include atheism, funerals, love, marriage, gossip and many more. Jokes can be copied to the printer or word processor. Church Byxbe, Ronald B. ASP $45 #7141/0873 keeps track of information about church members. Church Prospect System Byxbe, Ronald B. ASP $35 #7141/1604 is a program for recording a screen full of predefined fields of information about prospective church members, including date of last visit and several lines of free-form notes. Church Shareware Software Fairweather, Cedric $? #7141/2516 is an information management program for churches. It will keep track of information about families and individuals, including committee membership, special talents and church contributions. It will print reports and labels. Church Visitation System Byxbe, Ronald B. ASP $49 #7142/2517 is a system for tracking contacts made by visit, phone, or letter. Select by contact type, age group code, residential code, date last visited, or not visited since a certain date. Prints 3 x 5 cards. 4 x 6 cards, Labels, and a contact list report. HSSchurch Rohr, Gerald and Homogenized Software $35 #7142/1207 allows you to enter family data and will provide mailing labels, selected mailing labels, church directory, and detailed member reports. About 300 families (450 members) will fit on a standard 360K floppy disk system. The detailed member report will require a hard or high capacity diskette as it generates a page for each member. Minister's Sermon Indexer Byxbe, Ronald B. ASP $35 #7142/0848 is a program for ministers to use in storing information about and keeping track of their sermons. The program uses the Btrieve record manager to keep data instantly available by various key fields without sorting. Church Library Program 1.23 Bowen, Lloyd C., Jr. $30 #7142/1977 is a professional quality cataloging program for books, records and movies. Nothing about it that we can see is specific to a church. The author explains that it was originally written for a local church, but that it will work for anyone needing to catalog such information. The data files are compatible with dBase III and up. The Book section of the program has fields for Dewey decimal number, author abbreviation, last name and first name, title, publisher, year, accession, subjects, source and cost. The movie section allows for an ID#, location, length in minutes, type, title, stars, color or bw, subjects, source and cost. The record section has fields for ID#, title, arrange/publisher, year, artist, description (eg: 12", stereo), subjects or song titles, source and cost. The program will print a main card, title card, shelf card and subject card for each book; a main card, subject card and artist card for each record; and main card and subject card for each movie; plus a full library list by title. Because this was designed for a lending library, we were a little surprised that no fields were provided for the borrower and date borrowed. Otherwise, the program is intelligently designed and easy to use. CMS-Gold Byxbe, Ronald B. ASP $129 #7801/0556 [3 disks] keeps track of information about church members, organizations and activities, contributions, and more. It lets you print mailing labels, Rolodex cards, and reports listing members by committee or by "talent" or by other criteria. Negative points are a piercing beep at each prompt and an insistence that all data be on drive A:. Also, you cannot change the names of the committees or the talent categories. The program is worth a look, but if you can't live with the problems, you can probably duplicate the functions of this program with File Express or PC-File. Requires 640K and a hard drive. Z.M. Holubec, Parma Heights, OH, reports that the Stewardship module refuses to recognize the names of some families when entering donations. God Answers Prayer Triple-T Software $33 #4314 is a journal for recording prayer requests and answers. A topical Scripture reference section is included. All journal entries are encrypted and password protected. Preach and Teach the Word Tompkins, Glenn C. $20 #4160 is a Bible Study help program for preachers and teachers. It contains topics on Sunday School lesson preparation, ideas for Bible study, sermons and outlines, songs, and much more. Servant The Micro Group $99 #7300/2701 [5 disks] is an extensive church management system. It tracks church member information; attendance to services, Sunday School, etc.; members' abilities and the church's needs; visitor records and follow-up information; film, music, tape, book, and sermon libraries; pledges (including accounting) and more. There is a separate general account and fund account reporting, and it includes a budget vs. actual file. There is even a detailed inventory system which tracks fixed assets, supplies, and retail operations. Print mailing labels in over 40 different ways. It contains over 300 different reports including a church directory. Requires 640k and a hard disk. (The authors can no longer be reached at the address provided in the documentation.) ChurchWorks Software Sharing Ministries $25 See numbers below. contains over 75 different church management templates for use with various data management programs. It includes accounting and budgeting, attendance, contributions, goals and evaluation, leader and teacher development, music, stewardship commitments, worship, and more. Three games related to Bible and church history are included. ChurchWorks is a two-disk set (per version) in three different versions: for "Eight-in-One" (#7482/3221[2]), for LotusWorks (#7483/3222[2]), and for AlphaWorks (#7484/3223[2]). ChurchWorks for Microsoft Works Software Sharing Ministries $25 #2925 contains over 75 different church management templates for use with Microsoft Works, including accounting and budgeting, attendance, contributions, goals and evaluation, leader and teacher development, music, stewardship commitments, worship, and more. Three games related to Bible and church history, are included. Disk #2926 contains the same files in templates for First Choice. Hymnal Database Software Sharing Ministries $20 #7451/3081 [2 disks] is a database of more than 4200 hymns from six different hymnals. You can add your own entries with title, author, composer, church year, scripture, style, format, meter, theme, and more. Requires a hard disk, 512K, and color graphics. BibleMen Byxbe, Ronald B. ASP $15 #20168/1603 is a quiz and game on the names of men in the Old and New Testaments. There are scripture references to locate an answer if necessary or if you just don't know, show you the correct answer. Up to eight people may play. Also combined onto this disk are a couple of programs already in the library by the same author: "Church Membership System" and "Church Prospect System". Let's Sing Scripture Bloom, Linda R. $10 #20168/4407 is a collection of original songs from Bible verses. Songs are set in the traditional style of Jewish folk music. Music is played through the PC speaker and lyrics appear on screen. Volume one and two are included. Paul's First Journey RMC Software $18 Canadian #20168/4406 is a text adventure game based on the first missionary journey of Paul as described in the book of Acts. Scripture Quest 5.0 [SQ500] 08-93 CD Philip P. Kapusta $0 #20168/2201 tests one's knowledge of the Bible. Over 1600 questions are featured dealing with people, places, words, commandments and doctrines of the Bible. Other features include printed quizzes, referenced answers, and a top ten chart. Bible In Mind Proulx, Reno $0 #27602/3904 [2 disks] is a game that tests your memory about key verses and references in the Bible. Up to six people can play. A Biblical verse is displayed and the program asks where the verse is found in the Bible. Points are granted for correct answers on books, chapters and verses. You can ask for clues that cost points. After each guess an answer and comment about the verse is given. Requires 1.2 MB of disk space. Bible Jumbles I - Names King Software $16 #27602/3905 you are given three chances to figure out the scrambled Bible name. After the first try you are given the first letter, but that is all the clues you will receive. There are options to play the entire Bible, Old Testament only, New Testament only, or women of the Bible. EGA/VGA is required. Multiple Choice Challenger Useful Software Systems $18 #276023506 is a multiple-choice quiz with over 1000 questions from the Bible. This is a slick looking program and allows you to create your own question and answer sets. A sample question set on DOS is also included. Land and Journeys of Jesus 1.0 Hause, Laurance G. $15 #4801 provides maps and text describing the physical domain of Christ's ministry. It is described in terms of terrain, roads, towns, and political boundaries in about 30 AD. Requires EGA/VGA. Pastor's Secretary 3.0 [PASTOR] .COM Computer Systems $67 #7603/3906 [3 disks] (11-93 CD) is a set of programs for pastors, including a Contact Manager, Sermon Manager, Library Manager, Schedule Manager, Counseling Manager (2), Diskette Manager, and Personal Journal. Features include instant searches, a word-processor, a Prayer List, membership/donation/ attendance tracker, and more. Sunday School Colors 3.7 [SUNDAY] 08-93 CD Alaimo, Randall ASP $15 #12387 is Bible-based coloring game for kids. Sounds can be heard through the speaker or sound cards. Seven high-resolution pictures are included. Requires EGA/VGA, hard disk and a mouse. ]]]]]
